SUPERSTAR SPONSORSHIP CONTEST RULES

Why are we doing this:

Through talking with our customers and fans, whom are now our friends, we realized that the majority of women running are NOT superstar athletes with super skinny body types.  In fact the everyday onlooker may not call them athletes at all!  They are just average women, moms, wives, grandmas, etc, with exceptional goals to accomplish.  Running 26.2 miles is a huge feat for the 45-year-old woman who’s never run a mile in her life but so dedicated she will do whatever it takes to cross that finish line.  Especially when she has 3 children to take care of at home.  The 60-year-old grandmother who just lost a friend to breast cancer and is running her first half-marathon in her honor, happens more often then you think.  But these great women are never recognized.  They aren’t on TV ads or receiving sponsorships from major companies.  They just go about their lives doing great things that go unnoticed.  Well we’ve noticed and we want to hear about it and present your stories to the world, or at least our small group of followers for now:)!!

In light of that, we would like to treat one of our superstars just like a superstar should be treated.  We are beginning a sponsorship program for these extraordinary ladies! We are offering to sponsor and pay the race entry fee for a much deserving female runner for a race of her choice.  We will do this through a very simple contest.  Tell us your story and why you think you are an "average superstar" and we will have the fans vote.  The winner will get their next race entry fee paid for by Girlz n Gear!

Requirements:

Email us a at contest@girlzngear.com with a few paragraphs telling us your story, why you are a superstar and why you should get sponsored by Girlz n Gear.  Ideas to build on – What are your goals, dreams, motivations for running, etc.  The deadline for submissions is Mar 1^st.  We will then select what we think are the top 5 submissions then post summaries of those stories to Facebook and our website for our fans and your friends to vote on.  The submission with the most votes after a predefined period (TBD) will win!!

Rewards:

So what exactly will you win?  Girlz n Gear will sponsor YOU for the next race you would like to run anywhere within the US.  We will pay for your entry fee (Limit $150) and provide you with a free Girlz n Gear shirt to wear the day of that race!
